Still no Christmas present for the JIRA Administrator? Just in time for Christmas, the Atlassian Platinum Expert catworkx provides functions with the JIRA add-on “Transition Trigger Functions”, with which during a status transition, transitions can be triggered simultaneously for parent, child or linked processes. These are required, for example, if you want to create hierarchical structures between operations.
Transition Trigger Functions is a collection of post-functions for Jira Core, Jira Software and Jira Service Desk. When a certain status is reached, status changes can be triggered automatically in other operations. This can be limited to certain (sub)activity types or link types.
The purposes for the add-on are manifold. For example, a task can be automatically marked as “in progress” when one of its subtasks is set to “in progress”. Conversely, the status of the parent operation could also be changed when a subtask has reached a certain status. With another post-function included in the Transition Trigger Functions Add-on, operations can influence each other, provided they are linked.
functions:
- Post-Functions to trigger a transition at a superior, subordinate or linked operation
- Restriction to certain (sub-)activity types or link types possible
- You can specify a user under which the triggered status transition is executed
- Specification of a solution possible
