In many industries, for example in the automotive industry, the development of specific software products is an essential part of the production line.
The development results (intellectual properties) often have a high criticality and belong to the company information that is particularly worth protecting. Ideally, there is a central administration for the handling and maintenance of the development tools used, which also controls and manages project-related access rights. In reality, such “unpopular” administrative activities are often handled in a very shirt-sleeved manner and are in stark contrast to the protection of information.
In his presentation, Dr. Wolfgang Tank will present such a central administration system, which catworkx has developed and introduced in many years of cooperation with a large German automotive supplier on the basis of Jira Service Management. A major focus during implementation was on the acceptance of the solution within the development team, which was achieved through a high degree of automation and integration as well as a convincing service catalogue.
