Sustainable change management for Jira is made a priority with the newly developed app "Teamworkx Configuration Publisher" by catworkx, launched on 13 January 2020 in the Atlassian Marketplace. For Jira administrators, the app offers the possibility to automatically transfer every change to a project configuration to a Confluence document with just a few clicks. This allows you to build up a history for tracking and keeping an overview of all adjustments and projects. The new Teamworkx app is now available in the Atlassian Marketplace. We have summarized the other advantages and features of the Teamworkx Configuration Publisher for you.

Atlassian Marketplace AppThe Teamworkx Configuration Publisher helps administrators to document complex Jira configurations and to detect possible misconfigurations. Our app helps to keep track of project configurations, making it easier for project administrators to perform their tasks quickly and efficiently. For example, the Teamworkx Configuration Publisher remembers the link to the selected Confluence section after it has been set up for the first time. You can then immediately start the automatic export. The app is therefore a time-saving addition that belongs in every Jira instance. The Teamworkx Configuration Publisher was initially released in the deployment option "Server", the "Data Center" version will follow shortly.

The advantages of the app at a glance:

  • Current configuration settings of a Jira project can easily be transferred to a Confluence document, and the configurations of all Jira projects or only individual projects can be produced.
  • With the help of freely definable templates, the respective configuration settings can be displayed individually in Confluence.
  • After updating a configuration, the existing documentation on a Confluence page is overwritten. Any kind of change can be detected quickly by means of a standard change history in Confluence.
  • An export function enables the output of configuration settings in a structured form as a new file format, such as HTML, CSV or Excel.
