Atlassian has renamed its popular ITSM solution Jira Service Desk (JSD) to Jira Service Management (JSM) and has added many new features. “High-velocity ITSM, powered by Jira,” is how Atlassian describes the product released on November 9, 2020 in the official announcement. Based on the power of Jira and key DevOps and Agile principles, JSM was designed to accelerate and optimize team collaboration. Development, IT operations and business teams thus benefit equally from the modern, lean ITSM solution.
In recent years, Atlassian has invested heavily in expanding the cloud offering for the Atlassian toolchain (Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Service Desk, Bitbucket / Bamboo, Access).
