The venerable House of Engineers at Palais Eschenbach was the venue for the fourth catworkx Atlassian Symposium Vienna 2019 (CASV2019 for short). The motto of this year’s symposium was “Make every business process more transparent, faster, more efficient – using Atlassian tools”. In the well-attended ballroom of the building, catworkx customers and experts presented their individual solutions in exciting, top-class presentations. The lecture program was rounded off by the product presentations of the international app manufacturers from the Atlassian Ecosystem.
More and more companies around the world are turning to Atlassian’s tools to make their operations faster and more focused. How companies can optimize business processes economically was the focus of this year’s event. More than 100 participants – and thus more than last year – attended the catworkx Atlassian Symposium 2019 in Vienna. “We have seen an increase in visitors of over ten percent,” says Anita Frank, Head of Marketing, catworkx Austria, who is also the organizer and responsible for this event.
Sightseeing and first networking on the previous day
There was already a good atmosphere on the day before the catworkx Atlassian Symposium Vienna 2019 – the catworkx team as well as some of the app vendors and speakers were taken on a two-hour sightseeing tour of beautiful Vienna. A warming mulled wine helped against the frosty temperatures during the stopover at the Christmas market. Good conversations and hearty food were enjoyed at the subsequent dinner in a typical Viennese inn.
In the morning: catworkx keynote and concentrated product information
The catworkx Atlassian Symposium Vienna 2019 started with a warm welcome by Alexander Frank, co-founder and managing director of catworkx GmbH Austria. After a brief introduction of the agenda, Frank handed over to Oliver Groht, CEO & Co-Founderof catworkx Germany.
In his presentation Teamworkx – Enterprise Products by catworkx, Groht introduced the three product lines of the Teamworkx family: Teamworkx Cloud, Teamworkx Apps and Teamworkx Suite. Teamworkx intelligently combines services, operational solutions, and apps into a complete enterprise portfolio within the Atlassian ecosystem. The solutions shown met with great interest among the participants, as the feedback during the day showed.
Directly after this keynote, the six international app manufacturers ALM Works, Tempo, SoftwarePlant, eazyBI, Refined and re:solution presented their apps briefly and crisply in 20 minutes each. “Brevity is the spice of life,” says Anita Frank. The lively interest of the audience proved her right.
The afternoon: Knowledge from the field – success stories about the use of Atlassian tools
In the afternoon the catworkx customers presented Wienerberger AG, Johannes Kepler University Linz, Swiss Post, Austrian Standards and Vienna University of Economics and Business presented their solutions and gave the participants detailed insights into the use of Jira, Confluence & Co. in the respective companies and universities.
The last Expert Talk of the day, entitled “Change Management with Auto-Provisioning for ALM Environments with Jira Service Desk”, was presented by Dr. Wolfgang Tank, CIO & Co-Founder of catworkx GmbH Germany.
With the applause still ringing in his ears, Markus Stranzinger, Enterprise Account Manager, catworkx GmbH Austria – and moderator of the event on this day – took over the microphone. He announced the end of the lecture program and invited all participants to the networking buffet. Closing words by Alexander Frank concluded the official series of lectures.
