“Nice to have you with us today,” was the message at the magnificent Hotel Imperial on November 27. Under the motto “Digital business processes, transparent projects and agile workflows – decisive measures for entrepreneurial success”, the catworkx Atlassian Symposium Vienna 2018 took place on November 27. The third edition of the event was already fully booked for weeks and offered the participants a more than extensive agenda – a total of 18 presentations by Atlassian customers, experts and app vendors. Around 80 participants were able to get a detailed picture of how Jira, Confluence & Co. can be used to achieve the necessary transformation in their company and how business processes can be optimized in controlled steps.
Attunement the day before
Already the day before, all speakers and the catworkx team got in the mood for the symposium during a sightseeing tour in Vienna with punch at the Christmas market followed by dinner. In a relaxed atmosphere, an initial exchange of ideas and experiences took place that evening.
Presentation marathon at the catworkx Atlassian Symposium
Alexander Frank, co-founder and managing director of catworkx GmbH Austria, began by welcoming all participants to the majestic ballroom of the Hotel Imperial. He introduced catworkx as an Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner in DACH with headquarters in Hamburg and offices in Cologne, Stuttgart, Munich, Vienna and Winterthur, which specializes 100 percent in Atlassian solutions and services.
Michael Lüer, COO of catworkx GmbH Germany, kicked off the lecture program with his keynote, followed by Atlassian speaker Robert Panholzer, Channel Manager DACH. In the further course of the event, the five Atlassian customers Austrian Standards, JKU Linz, Diebold Nixdorf, ÖBB and TU Wien reported in detail on their experiences with Confluence and Jira solutions. There was also a lot to learn from the Atlassian ecosystem. Six app vendors from six countries – eazyBI, Comalatech, Softsolution, swarmOS, RefinedWiki and Tempo – presented their solutions. The concentrated knowledge transfer was supplemented with six expert presentations by catworkx colleagues from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. A special highlight was the presentation “Automated Deployment of Atlassian Apps in Selfservice” by catworkx Atlassian Expert and developer, Andreas Schiweck. He presented the new catworkx product “Premium Deployment” and explained how Jira and Confluence instances can be put into operation in 15 minutes in self-service. The presentations with all the expert knowledge are available for you to download in the overview below.
