Create Jira-Issues from Thunderbird mails: The Jira app "Teamworkx Thunderbird Integration for Jira" developed by catworkx makes it possible to automatically create Jira issues from incoming mails in Mozilla Thunderbird or to attach mails as comments to existing issues.

Teamworkx Thunderbird Integration for JiraWith the Jira app "Teamworkx Thunderbird Integration for Jira" you can create new Jira Issues directly from emails you receive in Mozilla Thunderbird. If an issue already exists to which you want to assign the mail, attach it as a comment. This is how it works:

Right-click on an incoming mail in Thunderbird to open a context menu and select the option to create a new Jira issue or to attach a mail as a comment.

Jira Options in Thunderbird Menu

A dialog appears which copies the subject line and the text from the mail and offers Jira projects as well as - when creating a new issue - the issue types for selection.

If mandatory fields must be filled in, the Jira standard mask opens for creating an issue with editable text suggestions. After sending the form, the issue is automatically created in Jira.
